hoodler

Questions

Including the uncomfortable ones. If something you want to know is missing, it belongs here.

What is hoodler, in one sentence?
Every tokenised asset on Robinhood Chain becomes a place its holders can enter, and any two wallets can message each other privately, whether or not they hold anything in common.
How do I join a community?
You do not. Hold the asset and you are already in. Membership is read from the contract on every request, so there is nobody to apply to and no moderator who can let you in or keep you out.
Can signing in drain my wallet?
No. Signing in is a message signature: it approves nothing, moves nothing and costs no gas. Receiving a gift needs no signature at all. There is no contract of ours between you and your assets, so there is nothing here to approve by mistake. We will never ask for a private key or a seed phrase.
Do I have to show my address?
No. An account can carry a handle or nothing. Your address stays hidden unless you choose to show it, and you can prove you qualify for a community without publishing what you hold. The setting is applied in the database query, so a hidden holding is never sent to a browser in the first place.
Can you read my messages?
No. They are encrypted on your device before they leave it, to a key only your devices hold. What we store is text we cannot read. That is a property of the encryption, not a promise about our behaviour.
What is a gift, exactly?
A real fraction of a real asset, sent straight from your wallet to theirs. We never hold it, never route it and never charge for it. A transfer on chain is final, so check the address before you send.
What does it cost?
Nothing to use. There is no fee on a gift because the transfer never touches us. You pay the chain's gas for your own transaction, which on Robinhood Chain is small.
Is there a hoodler token?
No, and there is no presale, no allocation and no airdrop to farm. If that ever changes it will be announced here first, and anyone promising you one today is not us.
Does holding a Stock Token make me a shareholder?
No. A Stock Token gives economic exposure to a price. It confers no legal or ownership right in the company: no vote, no dividend, no meeting. Where this site shows holder opinion, it is holder opinion, and every poll prints its methodology beside the result.
Are you connected to Robinhood?
No. hoodler is independent, unaffiliated and not endorsed by Robinhood or by any listed company whose ticker appears here. We read a public chain and a public API, which anyone can do.
Why do prices here sometimes differ from what I see elsewhere?
Because we refuse to quote a number we do not trust. The reference price is the mid, clamped inside the day's traded range, and when the spread is too wide to be meaningful the page says so instead of printing a confident figure. A quote we cannot stand behind is marked, not hidden.
What is coming next?
Memecoin communities, listed on the home page as not open yet rather than pretended into existence. After that, live sessions with rewards in ETH, forward secrecy for messages, and a moderation queue with appeals.
How do I delete my account?
Ask, and prove the wallet with a signature. See the privacy notice, which is also honest about the two things that cannot be deleted: what is already on a public chain, and a post somebody else quoted, which stays readable with your authorship removed.
